Our Airports

We have provided airport management services at ALB since 2005, on behalf of our sponsor – the Albany County Airport Authority. Employing a local staff of 185, we oversee the 1,000-acre airport as the single source provider of airport management, operations, maintenance, snow removal, Part 139 certification compliance, janitorial services, ARFF, parking lot and shuttle bus operations, and an art program through a $67.3 million operating budget.

ALB currently offers direct commercial scheduled service to 21 destinations with 7 Part 121 air carriers Additionally, the airport is the home to NYSDOT’s aviation group (Governor’s fleet) and the New York Army National Guard (Helicopter Unit).

Cyril E. King Airport is a public airport located two miles (3 km) west of the central business district of Charlotte Amalie on the island of St. Thomas. It is currently the busiest airport in the United States Virgin Islands and one of the busiest in the eastern Caribbean.

The Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) is about six miles southwest of Christiansted on St. Croix. Two major domestic carriers serve the airport, receiving daily inter-island flights, cargo, and military aircraft.

The partners were selected by the U.S. Virgin Islands Port Authority (VIPA) to upgrade and expand these airport facilities to make air travel more streamlined, efficient, and comfortable for our passengers. Improvements will include upgrading the baggage systems, adding jet bridges, renovating and expanding our existing terminal buildings, and adding additional seating, concession areas, and other amenities to enhance the travel experience.
