2020 saw a heightened focus on health and safety from both a personal and a work environment stance. The pandemic placed health and safety first in our thoughts, how we lived and how we worked. The General Managers and Corporate Management took a forward-thinking, aggressive approach to not only employee health and safety, but that of the traveling public as well.  We want to recognize and congratulate several Avports airports for achieving the ACI Airport Health Accreditation (ACI AHA).

  • Albany International Airport (ALB)
  • New York Stewart International Airport (SWF)
  • Teterboro Airport (TEB)
  • Tweed-New Haven Airport (HVN)
  • Westchester County Airport (HPN)

Some of the benefits of the ACI AHA:

  • Enables airports to demonstrate to passengers, staff, regulators, and governments that they are prioritizing health and safety in a measurable, established manner.

In addition to the above, Albany International Airport also obtained the Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) – GBAC STARâ„¢ Facility Accreditation. Completed through AAAE. Learn more here

GBAC STAR is a performance-based accreditation program that helps facilities demonstrate that they have the work practices, procedures, and protocols to prepare, respond, and recover from outbreaks and pandemics.

Congratulations ALB!
